Rescue workers wearing protective clothing or working in hot climates are confronted with extremely high temperatures. This results in extreme physical and psychological stress. The potential health risk is obvious.
Initial signs of extreme stress are headaches, dizziness, the inability to concentrate and nausea. In the advanced stage, palpitations, low blood pressure and even unconsciousness can occur.
Short duty periods and early retreat.
