Bavarian R&D Project More Electric Aircraft (MEA)ENTRAK is partner in the research project for the development of an integrated test environment for More Electric Technologies. Those studies happen in a research co-operation between universities, aircraft- and engine-industries...
[more]ENTRAK subjected the cooling vest [ventilationVest] to an absolute hardness test, a functional test under the effect of finest dust, basis for the dust-proof testing was the DIN 40050 (part 9). Even a well-known automobil manufacturer from Bavaria tests his assemblies according to this standard.
The purpose of the test was to clarify the functionality of the fan unit during application. Therefore a dummy was vested with the cooling vest and fit up with two fan units. During an eight-hour long-term test at ventilation level 2, the test item was exposed to a dust cloud of finest talcum dust (grain size of the dust particle <75µm).
The test took place in a special test chamber at the state trade institute (LGA) in Nuremberg, Germany. During the whole duration of the test, dust was blowen into the chamber for 6 sec with an interval of 15 minutes acording to DIN. Because of the active ventilation the inside of the cooling vest was also covered with fine dust. The special pocket construction of the cooling vest shelters the fan units so good, that essentially only the fan got dusty. The electronics and the shifter mechanism stayed nearly dust-free.
Result of the dust test: "After completion of the test the functionality of the fan units was well. No complaint at all"

Our Italian distributor, NBCSYSTEM S.r.l., took part at the exhibition SICUREZZA 2008 in Milan from 25 to 28 of November 2008 which took place simultaneously with the events SICURTECH EXPO and HTE – HI.TECH.EXPO.
For the last 25 years, the world of security has been congregating at this international rendezvous which features anti-intrusion, fire prevention, passive security systems and home & building automation. It has now reached its fourteenth edition and for the security sector audience the exhibition represents an unmissable opportunity to do business, expand one’s professional knowledge and acquire training.
SICUREZZA, the only international exhibition for the security sector which takes place in Italy, has evolved further and now opens a new chapter on the topic of security.
