The BWB placed an order with EADS / Cassidian Air Systems containing development, serial production and assembling of an innovative generating system in the Transall aircraft of “Luftwaffe”.
As it was not possible to adapt the existing generating system to the current technical requirements, a concept for a new system became necessary. Additionally, new security requirements had to be taken into consideration.
ENTRAK as a subcontractor developed the new 9kVA generator. Cassidian Air Systems as system integration company took over the system integration and is in charge of specification, development, documentation, manufacturing, maintenance and service.
The project could be completed successfully in time and in budget due to the targeted, project-orientated co-operation of all participants based on partnership.
